Cross-border checkout

Launch, scale and explain a delivered price

Domestic checkout assumes one tax regime and one currency. International checkout has to ask where the goods are going — without turning the page into an interrogation.

Purchase path

Destination first, total second.

The path captures ship-to country before confirmation so duty and catalogue rules can apply.

  • Landed total or merchandise-plus-estimate — a policy you choose.
  • Guardrails for restricted SKUs and unsupported destinations.
  • Order contract stores currency, duty treatment and promised service.

Handoff

Your commerce stack remains the system of record.

Confirmed orders pass to the storefront or OMS you already run. PangeaCart does not become a second inventory system unless you ask it to.

  • Replay a checkout and see which rules fired.
  • Address quality configurable by corridor.
  • Operators correct configuration without a code release.

Frequently asked questions

Do you replace Shopify or Magento checkout?

No. We sit in front of or beside the checkout you already use, for the international path you scope.

Can we collect duties at checkout?

Yes, if you have a remitter. We can also show an estimate and leave collection to the carrier. Those are different commercial promises.

What do you need to start?

Live destinations, shipping services you actually offer, and a sample of SKUs with HS codes and origin.

Discuss a cross-border programme

Tell us the corridors you sell into and the partners you already use. We will say whether PangeaCart software is a fit — and where it is not.
